Dr Andrew Wright – Resignation from Partnership

Priory Fields Surgery would like to inform you that Dr. Andrew Wright will be stepping down as a partner at the practice at the end of December 2024, after more than 25 years of dedicated service.

Dr. Wright’s decision to step down will enable him to devote more time to his role as Primary Care Dean for the East of England. However, he will remain a valued member of our team, continuing to serve as a salaried GP one day a week on Mondays and leading teaching sessions for GP Registrars.

Since joining the Priory Fields Partnership in 1999, Dr. Wright has been instrumental to the surgery’s success, with many achievements including securing approval for the practice to become a GP training site and establishing our on-site pharmacy. He has been a driving force behind Priory Fields’ evolution into the modern age of general practice.

Dr. Wright also took on significant leadership roles within the local healthcare system, providing an effective voice for general practice.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Wright for his extraordinary commitment, tireless efforts, and leadership throughout his time as a partner. We look forward to continuing our work with him as he remains a part of Priory Fields Surgery.
